#24 Five things to do when you fail.

Failure visits you when you want it to or not. Here are five steps to take when you’ve failed. Larger life failures seem to carry a big weight on us I’ve recently had a big mis step and it’s caused a lot of stress. What’s one yo do?

  1. Turn off your brain. The first think you have to do especially if you fail at something that’s been extremely successful like a project at work that has been months in the progress or a submission that did not pan out the way you intended. Is take a step back. You will surely be angry or sad or some sort of emotion. Not dwelling on the failure will allow you to process the information.
  2. Log off. If you are able to take yourself out of the failure situation then do it. If it is at work take some days off or school do the same take it easy let the feeling sink in and help re fill the reservoir you’ve expended on the project.
  3. Network. Most of your friends have failed at something or your family seek your support network and bounce as much as you can off of them see what they have to say about what you’re doing and what they think you can do.
  4. Assess. So youve taken a step back and turned off the thought process about the failure. Re start that thing on your shoulders assess what direction you need to take to move forward. Is that the right direction or were you taken off course for a reason big or small?
  5. Re attack. Because youre virile get back on the horse and attack attack a new project or maybe you’ve learned enough from your mistakes to try again. Crack on.

Your Canadian Brother.
